Geological stops:
Carrickalinga: Normanville and Kanmantoo Groups: Lower Cambrian sedimentary basin development, precursors to the Mid to Late Cambrian Delamerian;
Lunch at Normanville Hotel;
Wirrina Cove: High strain rocks (Delamerian orogeny) in the Neoproterozoic (Adelaidean) Sturtian sequence in the foot wall of a major west vergent thrust fault bringing Palaeoproterozoic basement (Gawler Craton)over the Adelaidean;
Rapid Bay: Major westward (craton) vergent thrusting.
